Japanese house and chicken coop, part 2 (finished)

So my Japanese house and chicken coop are done. The paint job on these was pretty similar to the one on my shrine: two coats of white wood primer, brown with a white dry-brush for the wood and brown followed by a black wash and an ochre dry-brush for the roof. For a wattle and daub effect, the walls were given a layer of ochre paint which was applied somewhat haphazardly so that it didn’t cover very well.

The chickens are resin and are made by Tabletop-ArtI mounted them on some 1 penny coins that my wife and I had left from our last trip to the UK (2 or 5 euro cent coins probably work just as well). This way I can use them in different settings.
