A quick
update on the diorama. The basic painting is done and it’s turning out much
better than expected! Before
painting I sealed everything with a coat of watered down wall filler followed
by a coat of white wood primer. The paint job was fairly straightforward. For
the church I started with a two-tone grey paint job followed by a black wash. After
the wash I gave everything a quick white drybrush and then added some brown
streaks here and there. The ground was given a simple coat of brown before
being flocked.
The paint
job on the other side was also pretty simple. Grey for the floor and red and
black for the wall, followed by a black wash. The floor was then given a very subtle
white drybrush and the wall got a grey drybrush. Finally, like with the other
side, I added some brown streaks.
The
following step is to add some columns, rubble and other little details. And I
still need to paint the two Lara’s, of course.
