I finished another lovely MDF building from Multiverse. It’s the Brownstone Row building 1b (shop with apartments on second floor). It came with an engraved sign reading Baudelaire, but I decided to go in another direction and turn it into an Italian trattoria. I made a simple sign in Word, printed it out, cut out the letters and used that as a template for painting the sign. A little cleanup was needed on some of the letters, but it turned out pretty well I think.
I also
picked up a couple of cars on Ebay that fit the late 1940’s/early 50’s America
setting. These are all 1:43 scale. 1920’s vehicles are pretty easy to find, as
are later 1950’s models. 1940’s cars, however, are pretty difficult to come by.
At least, if you don’t want to spend much more than a tenner per model. The
Ford Pilot technically was made in Britain for the European market, but it looks
right for the period.
